We've moved! Come Visit the New Turnbull Center in Portland’s Old Town / Chinatown District
On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, the Turnbull Center opened its doors in the UO’s new Portland home at the White Stag Block in historic Old Town / Chinatown. Photos from the first day.
Our new home in this beautifully and sustainably (LEED Silver-certified) renovated building is four times bigger than our old home and includes a multimedia studio, conference and classroom space, faculty offices, and a large, flexible space that will have a number of uses, including lectures, workshops, and student gatherings and meetings.
Now is an exciting moment in history for the SOJC in Portland. NPR President Kevin Klose visits Portland on April 4 as keynote speaker for Hulteng Conversations in Ethics, the kickoff event in our new home. A master's program in strategic communication, graduate and undergraduate classes, and professional workshops are already underway here, and we are making plans to expand these programs and partnerships. With the new space as well as access to UO facilities including a lecture hall and library, the possibilities for the Turnbull Center have increased exponentially.
Please come visit us at our new location and explore how you can get involved with the Turnbull Center. Our new address:
